Thematic Investments - AI & Robotics with Adam Dalton

10th June, 2022

At Davy, we have an extensive investment platform, but our guiding philosophy is adopting a core and satellite approach to investment. This recording is designed to allow us to have a detailed discussion around our AI and Robotics call which has been on our satellite platform since June 2018. To explore this topic in more detail, we invited Robotify CEO and Co-Founder, Adam Dalton to tell us about his own company and discuss the potential for robotics in more detail with Head of Equities, Davy Private Clients, Aidan Donnelly.

Robotify, which teaches students to code through the use of robots and simulation, was founded by Adam Dalton and Evan Darcy in 2015, while they were still at school. The company recently made headlines globally when it signed a deal with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak on a major project. The company also announced last year that it was being acquired by Imagine Learning, one of the largest digital education providers in the US. Overall, Imagine Learning serves more than 10 million students and partners with more than 7,500 school districts across the US. Following the transaction, Adam continues to lead the Robotify team.

Robotics looks set to continue to reform the role of technology making production processes more efficient and cognitive-driven and Adam is well placed to give real insight into the potential that the sector holds for investors.
