Logging in for the first time

When you open an account with Davy, we send your myDavy username (6-digit code) and password by post to the address associated with your account. You will need this username (6-digit code) and password to log in to myDavy for the first time.

The myDavy login page is just a click away wherever you are on the Davy site. From any page, simply click on “Login” in the top right corner and choose Davy Private Clients from the dropdown:

To log in to myDavy, enter your username (6-digit code) and your password, and click "Login". Both your username and your password are case sensitive.

Two-factor authentication

At Davy, the security of our clients’ accounts online is of paramount importance. To help strengthen account security, we use a login procedure, called ‘two-factor authentication’, which provides an additional layer of protection when logging into your Davy Select account online.

How does two-factor authentication work?

When you log into your account with your username (6 digit code) and password, a 4 digit single-use verification code will be automatically sent to the mobile phone number associated with your account.  You will be asked to enter this code to complete the log in process.

If you've forgotten your myDavy username please call us on +353 1 614 8900 or email us at csu@davy.ie

If you've forgotten your myDavy password, you can reset it online. Reset your password here.

How the reset service works:

  • Enter your username (6 digit code) and click Request Reset Link.
  • An email with a link to the password reset page will be sent to the email address associated with your account.
  • A text message containing a reset code will be sent to the mobile number associated with your account. This code will expire after 1 hour.
  • On the password reset page, enter the reset code that you received by text.
  • Set a new password (8 characters minimum, containing at least one number and at least one letter).
  • Log in to myDavy with your username and new password.

When you have securely logged in to myDavy, you can review your portfolio.

If you have more than one Davy account, you can view your individual accounts by selecting the account from the left-hand menu on the investments page.

If you have one Davy account with Davy, this will be the default view when you log in.

Within each account summary, you can review the account’s Valuation using the “doughnut” pie chart. When you hover over each section of the chart, the asset class, amount and percentage allocation will appear.

The Portfolio Value details displayed within the account summary are:

  • Portfolio Value: The current value of your investments.
  • Invested Value: The current combined value of your shares, funds and ETFs.
  • Cash Value: The current value of the cash in your account.
  • Available to Invest: The total amount of cleared cash on the account, adjusted for any unsettled sales or purchases, pending purchases, or fees.

Multiple accounts – how do I add/remove accounts on the holistic view?

The “doughnut” pie chart on the investments page shows a holistic view of all accounts where you are the beneficial owner and the current value of these investments. It does not include trades that have been dealt, but have not yet settled.

Only accounts where you are the beneficial owner will be included in this chart unless you activate these other accounts.

You can scroll down the page to view a breakdown of the ‘Investments by objective’.

Please note you will only be able to view accounts which you have requested to view online.

Portfolio holdings

The next section of the Portfolio Valuation page displays a list of your current holdings, with prices from the previous business day's close. From this list you can review your holdings and, by clicking on the Morningstar button, drill down to detailed prices and stock information. You also have the option to download this in PDF or Excel format.

Portfolio holdings history

To review your transactions in a particular holding, scroll down the page and select “Portfolio Holdings History” from the menu.

This functionality lets you review your transactions in a particular share, fund or Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) during a specified time period.

  • Choose the holding you want to review from a dropdown list of your holdings.
  • Set a start date and end date for the period that you want to review. The list will automatically update as you adjust the date period.

Statements and correspondence

Within this section you can review Transaction, Income and Deposit statements. These can be searched for by date period and broken down by currency. You can download these in PDF or Excel format. You will find your dividends within your income statement.

Correspondence

You can search here by document type and date period. You can download these in PDF format. You will also find your recent correspondence by clicking on the envelope in the main navigation.
