Few entrepreneurs have done more to shape Ireland's renewable energy landscape over the past two decades than Ciaran Marron, Founder and CEO of Activ8 Energies. A visionary business leader, electrical engineer, and advocate for sustainable energy, Marron has transformed what began as a small start-up into one of Ireland's most successful clean energy companies, helping thousands of homes and businesses reduce their carbon footprint while taking greater control of their energy future.
Founded in 2007, Activ8 Energies was established with a simple but ambitious mission: to make renewable energy accessible and practical for Irish consumers. At a time when solar technology was still relatively unknown in Ireland and public confidence in renewable energy solutions was limited, Ciaran saw an opportunity to challenge traditional thinking and build a business around innovation, sustainability, and long-term value.
The company has completed more than 25,000 solar installations, generated significant growth in employment, and built a reputation for delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions for residential, commercial, agricultural, and public sector clients. Today, Activ8 works with some of the world's leading organisations, helping businesses accelerate their transition to cleaner, more sustainable energy sources.
