The Davy Charities team works with a wide range of charity clients, including many who were clients when the firm was established in 1926. The principals have extensive experience in the industry and have advised charities over many years, and include Joseph Davy, whose father Eugene founded the firm.

Ian Brady

Head of Davy Charities and Not-for-Profit Group

Ian has more than 14 years’ investment experience. He specialises in developing charity investment strategy, charity financial planning, constructing portfolios and managing client relationships. Ian is a Certified Financial Planner, CFP®, holds an MBA with Distinction from Trinity College Dublin, an MBS from The Smurfit School of Business, a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. Ian is also a Qualified Financial Advisor and holds a Diploma in Corporate Law & Governance. He is presently completing a Masters in Finance.

Joseph Davy


Joseph has more than 40 years' investment experience specifically addressing the needs of charitable clients. He specialises in developing charity investment strategy and managing client relationships. Joseph holds a BA degree in Economics and Politics from University College Dublin, and is a registered Stockbroker and a member of the Securities institute.
