Financial Year End: 30th December 2019

Business and Organisational Structure

This Statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the UK’s Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes the Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for the financial year ending 30th December 2019 for J&E Davy Group. The Statement will be reviewed annually and updated where necessary to reflect changes in circumstances and actual practice. It has been approved by the Board of J&E Davy Holdings.

The Davy Group is Ireland's leading provider of wealth management, asset management, capital markets and financial advisory services. The Davy Group is headquartered in Dublin, with offices in London, Belfast, Cork and Galway. J&E Davy (UK) Limited (“Davy UK”) is based in Belfast and employs over 70 people.

Davy conducts its business in an honest and ethical manner and ensures compliance with all applicable legislation. We are committed to ensuring there is no form of forced labour, including modern slavery and human trafficking, within any aspect of our business or our supply chains.

Our Commitments

Davy operates in an industry with a low risk exposure to Modern Slavery (as described in the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015), and our approach to this is proportionate based on the level of inherent risk in our supply chains.

The Davy Whistleblowing Policy facilitates staff in reporting suspected wrongdoing (including concerns that may relate to modern slavery and human trafficking) in the knowledge that their concerns will be taken seriously, appropriately investigated and that their confidentiality will be respected.

The Davy Group is continuing work on measures to reinforce compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, with the aim of delivering additional measures over the next financial year including:

  • Approve and communicate an enhanced due diligence mechanism for onboarding key suppliers to ensure compliance with the Act, and
  • The rollout of training sessions throughout the organisation for relevant employees to understand, recognise and report instances of modern slavery.

This Modern Slavery Statement will be published on the Davy UK website and will be updated on an annual basis.
