The UK economy has been far stronger than we and consensus expected this year. Ahead of the Budget and Bank of England (BoE) meeting next week, a number of data releases this week will provide useful context for prospects of the UK economy continuing to outperform. While an increase in Bank Rate next week is all but certain, we expect continued signs of disinflation this week, and we will look for evidence of stronger taxes.
