November likely to set a new record for corporation tax

DAVY VIEW

This week includes a number of significant data releases for the Irish economy. A new record for monthly corporation tax (excluding last year’s Apple escrow receipts) is likely in the November exchequer returns; we expect this could be as high as €10bn. A separate report is also due from a taskforce for accelerating infrastructure delivery, and we think Q3 national accounts will show a slowdown in economic growth. Elsewhere, US payrolls for November would normally be available this week but the shutdown means this will be delayed to later in December.
