Aside from further catch-up US releases this week, the UK Budget is the main focus in an otherwise quieter week for new economic data. Weaker retail sales in October have been attributed in part to Budget concerns as the Government again looks to shore up the public finances for the remainder of the decade. Almost all facets of debt sustainability pose a major challenge, and Labour faces a dearth of appealing choices this week as a result.
