Our main focus for data releases this week will be on September data for US payrolls and Ireland’s exchequer returns. Speeches by Federal Reserve officials last week saw less market certainty that two US rate cuts would take place in Q4. Budget 2026 takes place on Tuesday next week (October 7th), and it has been framed around higher capital spending. The ‘White Paper’ update to fiscal estimates is also due to be published on Friday evening (October 3rd).
