The UK Supreme Court ruling on motor finance removes some of the extreme potential outcomes, but it will take some time yet to understand the full implications – not all lenders will likely be impacted equally, and business models will be an important factor. Elsewhere, both Irish banks demonstrated incremental improvement in the European Banking Authority (EBA) stress tests – with both having lower drawdowns than the average.
