How exposed is Ireland to an ICT slowdown?

The magnitude of job cuts announced in Ireland’s information and communications technology (ICT) sector is so far very small. Of course, the concern is of a broader, deeper slowdown. However, conditions among key ICT employers are far from uniform, with some still in expansion mode and with market expectations for positive revenue and EPS growth in 2023. We had built-in just a 6.7% expansion in the ICT sector in 2023, the slowest pace since 2012, in our forecasts for 3.5% Irish GDP and 1% jobs growth in 2023.
