Last night, Theresa May ruled out an extension of Article 50 beyond June 30th – surprising the EU. This raises the ugly possibility that May’s deal will fail next week, with the UK still not having secured an Article 50 extension on Thursday morning with just 36 hours until the 11pm, March 29th deadline.
