Cranswick's operations are focused on the production and supply of premium food products, primarily in the UK, with approximately 10% of sales exported to the Far East. It produces a range of predominantly fresh products, including fresh pork, sausage, bacon, cooked meats, artisan pastry products, charcuterie, olives, stuffed peppers and poultry, sold mainly through the large UK retail channel. Recent acquisitions and investments have upscaled Cranswick's position in the UK poultry supply chain - from a standing start in 2015, poultry today accounts for c.15% of sales and growing. Strong cash conversion and a progressive reinvestment model underpin both earnings momentum and best-in-breed returns.
