Ibstock plc is a manufacturer of clay bricks and a range of clay and concrete products. The group has four operating businesses, three of which operate in the UK: Ibstock Brick; Glen-Gery (US); Supreme; and Forticrete. Ibstock was owned for a number of years by CRH, which sold it to investment funds advised by Bain Capital Europe in a deal completed in February 2015. Ibstock then listed on the London Stock Exchange in Q4 2015 with an initial market capitalisation of around £770m. In the UK, Ibstock is the leading manufacturer of clay bricks with a market share of circa 40%.
