Kenmare Resources is an Irish-registered company that produces ilmenite, rutile and zircon from its 100%-operated Moma mine located in northern Mozambique. Ilmenite and rutile are titanium minerals mined for their titanium dioxide content that is used in 'quality-of-life' products such as paints, plastics, papers and cosmetics. Zircon is a co-product of titanium mining and is used in ceramics, foundries, etc. Kenmare's Moma mine currently has c.8% share of the global titanium dioxide feedstock market and is the world's largest producer of merchant ilmenite. The group has invested $1.2bn since operations began and the life of mine is +100 years.
