2025 is not a year that Ibstock will remember fondly. At least the group’s trading update has confirmed expectations that were reduced for a second time in October. Unfortunately, it is hard to be overly constructive about the near-term outlook as there remains a distinct lack of any real momentum in the UK housing market. The stock has largely traded sideways in recent months, and we believe it will continue to struggle as earnings risk persists.
