The cancellation of the state’s warrants marks the full exit of AIB Group (AIBG) from the state. The impact is somewhat higher than previously expected, reflecting an increased valuation. AIBG retains material surplus capital and continues to generate attractive levels of organic capital on an ongoing basis.
