Irish employment up 0.5% in Q3 2017

Today’s Irish labour market data show that jobs growth remains strong, up 0.5% in Q3 2017 and 2.2% on the year. The overall strength of Ireland’s labour market recovery since 2012 has been revised. Employment growth is now estimated at 3.2% per annum on average through 2013-2016 versus 2.4% previously. This reflects the results of the 2016 Census, which showed large flows of inward migrants coming to Ireland to take up employment.
