Naked Wines plc (WINE) managed COVID well. It acquired additional scale and renewed the drive to capture more of the nascent US online wine opportunity, an opportunity catalysed by both COVID and widespread de-regulation. Fine tuning advertising and customer acquisition will be key, but there is a disruptive growth opportunity to capture. Yet, uncertainty prevails. We initiate with a ‘Neutral’ recommendation and price target of 695p.
