In this report we examine how Europe’s main low-cost carriers (LCCs) are utilising digital technologies to leverage and enhance customer relationships. We have held extensive discussions with the heads of marketing and IT at Europe’s two largest players, Ryanair and easyJet. Uniquely positioned as the ‘gatekeepers’ of travel, we think the longer-term earnings and multiple upside could be material. This serves to further underpin our structural long thesis on Ryanair (‘Outperform, price target €20).
