AIB completed a sale and leaseback of a portfolio of 23 bank branches to Davy in 2010. The properties were located in main cities and towns around Ireland. The branches are all leased to AIB for between 15 and 20 years and were acquired at between 7% and 8% net initial yield.
In 2009 Davy bought a portfolio of seven Bank of Ireland branches located around Ireland from an institutional vendor. The branches were bought at an average net initial yield of 7.5% and were all leased to Bank of Ireland for between 13 and 22 years.
