Investment Manager – Portfolio Management, Private Clients

A vacancy has arisen for an Investment Manager to join a Portfolio Management team within Davy Private Clients.
Key responsibilities of this position will include:
- Full responsibility for management of discretionary client portfolios in conjunction with agreed client mandate and Investment Committee guidance;
- Responsibility for proactive management of advisory client portfolios in conjunction with Portfolio Managers and in line with agreed client mandate, investment offerings and opportunities;
- Responsibility for coordinating and managing investment activities;
- Responsibility for trade implementation including order book management;
- Significant portfolio analysis with a strong focus on asset allocation and risk drift. Formal Risk Drift Analysis undertaken on a ongoing basis;
- Participating in the new business process through the preparation of customised investment proposals;
- Acting as the primary point of contact between the team and the Investment Committee on all investment issues;
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrable knowledge of financial markets and investments;
- Keen interest in the investment process and willingness to manage a significant book of assets;
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team;
- A flexible, positive attitude towards work with ability to perform under pressure and to multitask as required;
- Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong administration skills, efficient typing skills and a high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
- ISE Certificate in Stockbroking or the willingness to obtain this qualification (or equivalent) within a 12 month period;
- CFA/QFA qualification or the willingness to obtain this qualification would be beneficial.
