Fraudulent Email Alert
It has come to our attention that the clients of certain financial service firms, such as banks and investment firms, have been the targets of scams involving the use of fraudulent e-mails.
These scams are an attempt to obtain sensitive personal information, such as passwords, account details or credit card numbers. The e-mails used to obtain this information typically purport to come from bona fide companies, and ask customers to provide personal information such as account login details. In fact, these e-mails have not been initiated by the financial services firms, and are fraudulent attempts to obtain private information.
While Davy has not been the target of this type of fraudulent behaviour to date, we would ask all our clients to remain vigilant. If you receive an e-mail of this type purporting to have been sent from Davy, DO NOT PROVIDE ANY DETAILS. Forward the e-mail to csu@davy.ie and then delete it without clicking on any links or attachments.
Davy will never ask clients to verify their Davy Direct login details, or any confidential financial details, through e-mail.
