MyHome Property Report, Q1 2017: House price inflation accelerates in early 2017

MyHome asking price data show prices up 5.5% in Q1 2017, up 9% on the year. In Dublin, prices rose by 6% on the quarter – up 10.2% on the year. The price of newly built homes is up 12% on the year. Irish house price inflation has accelerated markedly in early 2017, driven by the loosening of the Central Bank lending rules and the Help-to-Buy scheme.
