The acquisition of Keystone Environmental Limited (Keystone), while modest in scale, aligns with the group’s allocation strategy to build out its amenity platform with ecology services capabilities. Legislative changes seeking to protect the environment – including the development impact on wildlife habitats – offer a structural tailwind behind this niche offering. Keystone’s consultancy model is margin accretive, with Origin noting the potential to cross-sell services to existing clients. We anticipate similar tuck-ins in due course, with a healthy pipeline previously noted. We estimate that the deal is c.1c accretive to EPS.
