DAVY VIEW
The consultation should provide a good indication of the Central Bank of Ireland’s (CBI) intended approach to its review of the borrower-based macroprudential rules. To date, conservatism has been an over-riding principle in the CBI’s approach to its overall macroprudential policy – we would not expect this stance to change radically, but a more nuanced approach could now be applied. Elsewhere, AIB continues a busy year with the formation of a leasing JV targeting the important task of transitioning business and personal transport to lower carbon modes.
