We have revised up our forecast for Irish GDP to just a 1.7% contraction in 2020, mainly reflecting the resilience of the multinational sector but also that the re-opening of the economy in Q3 was brought forward faster than we anticipated. We expect consumer spending to decline by 10% in 2020 and employment by 9%, but the deficit of €22bn is far better than expected.
