H1 results – acquisitions fail to deliver

On first glance, this is a disappointing set of numbers with the two big acquisitions failing to deliver in the period. Box volume growth was lower than expected, while box price weakness was not offset by lower OCC and containerboard prices. The outlook for demand is more upbeat, but investors will need to see greater clarity around the performance of the recent acquisitions.
