The unwinding of Waha’s 6% position in AerCap, alongside the termination of its funded collar transactions, should remove volatility in the AerCap share. It will also clear the overhang that has been a consistent feature of the AerCap register since 2015, with AIG and Waha having sold c.120m shares compared to AerCap’s current share count of 133m.
