Greencoat’s acquisition of Killala wind farm will add c.5% to its existing portfolio, bringing total installed capacity to almost 450MW. More importantly, it is the latest example of the company’s ability to consolidate high-quality assets (strong wind factor, over 13 years of contracted revenues) at the smaller end of the Irish wind market. Coupled with other more transformational acquisitions, Greencoat has built a considerable platform in Ireland – a platform with the scale and financial headroom to capture further growth opportunities on an ongoing basis.
